I hold my head up, my shoulders loose, my fingers crisscrossed on my kneecap. She pretends to fix the umbrellas then turns to look my way when silence suggests I'm ready. A mild disapproval is obvious on her face, it pleases me.
"Pin up those wispy bangs", her voice tinged with anger triggered by my inappropriate posture. She waits then bends down, swivels the rings peeking through the viewfinder and I brush the wave of hair off my eyes just to have it fall back in place. She looks up occasionally and motions me to move left but I remain still and so she gives up and presses down the button for a flare of light to blast. Ev
